If its all one one thread tomorrow Then i wont believe it will ever be multi-core until I see it like i said the Arma 3 Devs kept saying they'd add mult-core and it was impossible the whole time. Yeah but they would of have to had have made it muti-core from the start its very hard or not possible to just add it later if you could do that they would have added multi-core to KSP a long ago. Someone might prove me wrong but I doubt there are many games out there that can benefit from more than 8 cores. How "much" multi-threaded can the game be, though? We don't know. The quote says exactly they're working into dishing processes out of the game loop - that is, making the game more multi-threaded, which will benefit from a multi-core setup. #PHYSICS GAMES CODE#
Once they write the code and it works.regardless of s NOT GOING TO CHANGE UNLESS THERE IS A BUG AND EASILY FIXED OR BREAKS THE GAME SO BAD IT IS ALL CUSTOMERS TALK ABOUT.

What is going to happen is they are going to fix BUGS that will improve performance and call it "performance improvements" They are not going to prioritize REWRITING code for unfinished features. This all sounds like wishful developer thinking or marketing BS. There is NO WAY the executives are going to allow such dangerous changes to be made to the foundations of the game.
#PHYSICS GAMES SOFTWARE#
If it's single threaded software I'm gonna be very disappointed. I'm encouraged in this by the very moderate CPU requirements compared to the GPU requirements. I'd take "As we push processes out of the main thread" to imply a main thread and multiple secondary threads. Hopefully they have rewrote the code for multi-core but I cant see how they could have done that if its still on one main thread at this stage thoughts ? I've been burned before with the Arma devs saying they would add multi-core later for Arma 3 something that never came. IF this game is still using a single thread as this stage i find it highly unlikely they're going to change this later if they still just using the stranded unity code you cant just add multi-core to unity you gotta rewrite the whole thing something that they said they were doing.
